Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to dentabieome.com and its subpages.
Important scope note. This is an informational and marketing website. Orders are placed on a separate merchant checkout operated by a third party. When you click an order link and leave this site, the merchant's own privacy policy governs the information you provide there — including your name, shipping address and payment details. We never receive or store your payment card information.
1. Who we are
For the purposes of data protection law, the operator of this website is the controller of personal information collected through it. Contact us at privacy@dentabieome.com.
Before publishing: replace this paragraph with your registered business name, postal address and the name or contact details of your data protection representative if you have one. Several jurisdictions require a physical address to be published in a privacy policy.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Contact form submissions — your name, email address, an optional order reference and the content of your message.
- Email enquiries — anything you choose to include when you write to us.
- Newsletter sign-ups, where offered — your email address and the fact of your consent.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and connection data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen size and device type.
- Usage data — pages viewed, time spent, scroll depth, links clicked, referring URL and exit pages.
- Approximate location — country or region, inferred from IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Campaign parameters — values such as
traffic_sourceandtraffic_typeappended to links, used to understand which campaigns bring visitors to the site.
2.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, government identifiers, or health records. Please do not send us medical information, details of a dental condition, or any other sensitive personal data through the contact form — we are not able to give medical advice and we do not want to hold that information.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies. The categories are:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function and for security. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — help us understand which pages are read and where visitors leave, so we can improve the site.
- Advertising and attribution — used by advertising platforms and affiliate networks to measure the performance of campaigns and to attribute purchases to the referring website.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. Where we are legally required to honour such a signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing, we do so.
4. Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
- To operate, maintain and secure the website.
- To measure how the site is used and improve its content and layout.
- To measure advertising performance and attribute affiliate referrals.
- To send marketing communications where you have asked to receive them.
- To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Legal bases (UK/EU visitors)
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and for marketing email. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — for site security, fraud prevention, basic analytics and responding to enquiries, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers who operate the servers this site runs on.
- Analytics providers who process usage data on our behalf.
- Advertising and affiliate networks, which may receive identifiers and event data for attribution and campaign measurement. Under some US state privacy laws this may be classified as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, and you may opt out (see section 8).
- Email service providers where you have subscribed to communications.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, where necessary.
- Authorities, where disclosure is required by law, court order or valid legal process.
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
6. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where personal information from the UK or European Economic Area is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep information
- Contact enquiries — up to 24 months after the matter is closed.
- Marketing subscriptions — until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not contact you again.
- Analytics data — typically 14 to 26 months depending on the provider's configuration.
- Server logs — normally up to 12 months for security and diagnostics.
We may retain information for longer where required to comply with a legal obligation or to resolve a dispute.
8. Your rights
8.1 If you are in the UK or EEA (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)
You have the right to: access your personal data; have inaccurate data corrected; request erasure; restrict processing; object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling for direct marketing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
8.2 If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information is collected and for what purpose; to request deletion; to request correction; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, email privacy@dentabieome.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information", or send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser.
8.3 Other US state privacy laws
Residents of states including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Montana have comparable rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and opt-out, together with a right to appeal a refused request. Contact us using the details below to exercise them.
8.4 How to make a request
Email privacy@dentabieome.com or use the contact form. We will respond within the period required by applicable law — generally 30 days, extendable where permitted. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Marketing communications
We send marketing email only where you have asked us to. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also email us to opt out. We will continue to send you operational messages, such as replies to your enquiries, after you unsubscribe from marketing.
10. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and regular review of our providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it.
11. Children's privacy
This website and the products it describes are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links
This site links to third-party websites, including the merchant checkout. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before providing personal information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be signalled by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by a prominent notice on the site.
